On a duller note, she completed her bachelor's degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing at Michigan State University in 2007. In 2012, she finished her program at Western New Mexico University for a Master of the Arts in interdisciplinary studies focusing on English and History.
She is a writer and reader of fantasy and science fiction. She has several novels currently in varying points of the editing process and has completed a novel with a co-author (Andrew Grace) that is currently being pushed at publishers.
